I attended many fellowships after which I finally got inducted to the club as a member. By then, I had already made many friends in the club and always looked forward to Monday evenings where we had our meetings. It was not long after that I was selected to be the club's Professional Development Director(I KNEW NOTHING,like Jon Snow .Waddup GOT reference). I kind of just winged it and it didn't turn out so bad I guess(hopefully). I learnt a lot while on the job and I still am (You learn something new everyday).
Fast forward to 2018. We got together with a few friends from RACMMU and other Rotaractors from other clubs and started RACLA (wazzuuuuh!!!) .All I can say is that (I REGRET NOTHING!!!).
I have met friends who have become family and may we do this untill we are old and grey or maybe death(Whichever comes first).
Rotary and Rotaract has given me a platform to interact with so many people while making memories at the same time. DCA and RYLA (2017) are some of the best times i've had with Fatma Muhaji, George Otieno, Sharon Lusambili,Samuel Gathaga and Ivan Mauya among others(they are so many i'd have to attach a list). I have also learnt to do so many things that I doubt I would have bothered about. It has also been a platform to develop professionally where I get to sharpen my Design skills . I also sold most of my art through a Rotary Koroga that we attended with Fatma Muhaji(Thank you Tima) and I get most recommendations from Rotarians and Rotarcators .
I might not have mentioned everything but im sure you get the idea. RACMMU was where it all started (Thanks Gathaga for introducing me to this amazing family) and now and it continues in RACLA and who knows where it will be in the next 10 years (*dramatic whisper* Who knows?).
Caleb I hope this is sufficient and i hope to see you join our club after you are done with school( RACLA is always welcome to the idea of a bigger family).
Rotary and Rotaract to the world over.(PEACE)
*RACLA* is always welcome to the idea of a bigger family.
Cheers to more Service, Personal and Professional growth, friendship, fun as we spread the inspirational light and Rotary/Rotaract the world over.
